Slacks Herbal was one of the more popular herbal remedy works of the 19th and 20th centuries. It contains a list of illnesses and their various cures, usually using nothing more than herbs, or occasionally methods such as vapor baths and vinegar-soaked cloths. It also contains a short section containing recipes for various pills, tinctures, medical powders, and so forth.
