A volume exploring various aspects of occultism. Contents include Occultism and its Adepts, The Theosophical Society, First Occult Experiences, Teachings of Occult Philosophy, and Later Occult Phenomena. Compiled by A.P. Sinnett, a member of the Theosophical Society. This was the first Theosophical work by the author, giving "sensational publicity to Blavatsky's phenomena" and drew the attention of the London Society for Psychical Research.
8vo (Crown). Publishers dark blue cloth covers with gilt lettering to spine. Bumped corners, rubbing and wear to edges of spine. Pages toned, some with small markings. Binding tight. Overall a very good copy.
