A gorgeous 19th century portrait of a lady, originally found in northern France. She is dressed with red accents against a more monochrome colour palette, making this a striking piece. Distress to the canvas throughout, with some small puncture marks and wear to the border which give the piece a beautiful patina. Signed indistinctly and dated 'July 1894' in the bottom left corner.
